Create menu sections

Sections group the dishes of a menu. For example, your menu can have sections such as Starters, Mains, Desserts or Drinks.

Create the section

1. Go to the menu’s Sections

   From the menu list, click on the menu and open View Sections from its options.

2. Press “Create Section”

   Use the green Create Section button next to the list.

3. Fill in the name

   For each of your bar’s languages provide the section name (required). Examples: starters, salads, grilled meats…

4. Add a description or footnote (optional)

   If you wish, include a section description or a footnote (for example, “sharing portions”).

5. Choose the status

   — Active: the section is shown in the menu. — Inactive: the section is hidden.

6. Save the section

   Press Save.

Tip

Sections are shown in the order they appear in the list. You can drag them to reorder and press Save order.

Edit the section later

Everything you fill in when creating the section can be changed afterwards. From the section list, press Edit section in its options to update its name, description, footnote and status.

Move or clone the section

In the section’s options you also have Move, to move it to another menu (of the same bar or another), and Clone, to duplicate it in the destination you choose. In both cases select the destination bar and menu in the dialog that opens and confirm.

Delete the section

You can Delete section from the section’s Options in the list. Deleting it will also remove all of its dishes.

Caution

Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. You will be asked for confirmation before anything is removed.
